We recently received a lovely review from Lancashire & Blackpool Tourist Board Chief Executive after his experience with us on Mothering Sunday.  Here´s what he had to say:

The splendour of Mitton Hall Hotel lying on the banks of the River Ribble at Great Mitton was the venue for our Mothers day lunch.  After a refreshing pint of Bowland Real Ale in the lounge bar with ornate wooden carved wall we walked through the Great Hall, the buildings centre piece with its panelled gallery, beamed ceiling and magnificent fireplace to the hotels restaurant. 

I started my 3-course menu with prawn bruschetta combined with chorizo and tomato basil. Roast rib of beef was served with Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower puree, roast potatoes, root vegetable mash and red wine jus, washed down with a stunning glass of Fontys Pool Pinot Noir.

The piesta resistance was the dessert of warm chocolate tart served with vanilla ice cream and finally finished the meal with a cup of filter coffee.  Ladies were certainly treated admirably on this special day and received a Mothers Day boxed gift containing a silver Amore Heart bookmark.

There is no doubt that the ambience of the hotels setting with its stunning interior design and decoration perfectly complement ancient architectural features of the building and the quality of the service helped make this an outstanding occasion. One my wife and I really enjoyed and undoubtedly it will not be long before we both return to experience Mitton Hall´s fantastic cuisine again.
